Mr. Isaac Obeng Yankson is a dynamic and results-oriented executive with over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 13 years in senior leadership roles within private health insurance. His professional journey began at Barclays Bank (Ghana) LTD (now Absa Bank Ghana) and Nationwide Medical Insurance. Mr. Yankson has over the years developed and honed strong expertise in strategic management, business development, risk management, and operations.

He currently serves as the Chief Operations Officer at GAB Health Insurance, providing strategic oversight across key areas such as claims management, underwriting, member services and benefits administration, and product innovation. Before joining GAB Health, Mr. Yankson served as Chief Executive Officer of Apex Health Insurance LTD, transitioning as the foundation scheme manager. During his tenure, he expanded the company’s operations to Takoradi and Kumasi, led a successful merger with Liberty Health (South Africa), and implemented cost-saving and diversification initiatives that significantly improved business performance. He also established wholesale and retail pharmacies in Accra, Kumasi, and Takoradi, further broadening the company’s service offerings.

Mr. Yankson holds an MBA in Finance from Coventry University (UK), an MSc in Business Consulting and Enterprise Risk Management from KNUST, a BSc in Marketing from UPSA, and an LL.B. from GIMPA. He is a Certified Strategy Professional (CSP). Mr. Yankson has also consulted on the establishment of private health insurance schemes in Ghana. He is widely recognized for his strategic vision, commitment to operational excellence, client service and passion for driving sustainable business growth.
